ENROLMENT

Student wellbeing underpins all learning.

Who Can Enrol

CAMP follows a structured enrolment process to ensure each student is well supported and appropriately placed within the learning environment.

CAMP welcomes students who:

  • Are 16 years of age or older
  • Are transitioning from secondary school or post-school
  • Benefit from structured routines and explicit teaching
  • Are developing independence and community participation
  • Have NDIS funding aligned with support needs

From 18 years of age, students can attend full-time following completion of formal schooling.

Joining the CAMP Community

When students commence at CAMP, they become part of a structured learning community built on shared expectations, consistency and belonging. Students wear a CAMP uniform, reinforcing identity and participation within a school-style environment. This consistent structure supports confidence, routine-building and a strong sense of inclusion as students transition into their learning journey at CAMP.

The Enrolement Process

1. Initial Enquiry

Families, schools or professionals can contact CAMP to discuss suitability and availability.

An initial conversation allows us to understand the student’s support needs, goals and funding arrangements.

2. Tour of CAMP

Families and students are invited to attend a tour of the learning environment.

This provides an opportunity to:

  • Observe the structured learning setting
  • Understand daily routines
  • Discuss support ratios (1:2 or 1:1 where
    applicable)
  • Ask questions about the program

3. Review of Learning & Support Needs

CAMP reviews relevant documentation, which may include:

  • NDIS plans
  • Allied health reports
  • Behaviour support plans
  • School transition documentation

This ensures appropriate planning and alignment with individual needs

4. Transition Planning

For students still enrolled in school:

  • Selected transition days may occur during school holidays
  • Structured transition days may be arranged in the student’s final year of schooling
  • Collaboration occurs between the school and CAMP to ensure continuity

Transition planning focuses on familiarity, predictability and gradual adjustment to routines.

5. Service Agreement & Funding

Clear service agreements are provided outlining:

  • Support ratios
  • Funding categories
  • Billing processes
  • Attendance arrangements

Funding alignment is confirmed prior to commencement.

6. Commencement with Structured Support

Students begin with a planned and supported introduction into the learning environment.

Initial weeks focus on:

  • Building familiarity with routines
  • Establishing communication supports
  • Observing strengths and support needs
  • Developing an Individual Learning Plan

Ongoing reviews ensure continued progress and adjustment as required.
